The county commissioners polished the language on the revisions to the Shoreland Planned Unit Development ordinance prior to its public hearing. Most of the revisions tighten the standards for development around lake property. Comments from the public will be considered before the commissioners adopt the final PUD ordinance. The commissioners did seem to agree that transfer of development rights should not be allowed in lake property as is currently permitted.
Good news for those using the landfill, credit card payment was authorized.
Dennis Luebbe, head of the Highway Department, presented an update to the commissioners on the CSAH 1 corridor study with the suggested route to be along the Dundas-Northfield city limits. He also talked about discussion with Dakota County and the city of Northfield of a potential study of transportation corridors in the Northfield area.
