The LWV Northfield-Cannon Falls Board of Directors held a special meeting on May 15, 2008. The purpose of the meeting was to complete unfinished business proposed at the annual meeting on April 28th including the election of board members and approval of a budget for 2008-09. At the annual meeting, Parliamentarian Jane McWilliams had ruled that in absence of a quorum, all business would be referred back to the 2007-08 board.
Board members present: Kathy Tezla, Barbara Wilson, Janet Petri, Eve Webster, Kiffi Summa, Judy Covey, Allene Moesler, Clare Muffly (student intern)
Members absent: Suzie Nakasian, Pat Kriesel, Hilary Ziols, Kathy Cooper
The board approved a motion accepting the 2008-09 budget proposed by Treasurer Barbara Wilson, subject to an increase of website expenses by $500 (to $575) and a corresponding increase of fundraising income by $500 (to $1,000). The board also approved a motion accepting the following slate of officers, amended to include Marcia Walters as Catalyst Editor:

“League of Women Voters of the United States” to LWVUS; “League of Women Voters of Minnesota” to LWVMN; and “League of Women Voters of Northfield” to LWV Northfield-Cannon Falls.”
