Superintendent Richardson announced the results of the school board election, and commended the students involved in the production of “Our Town” at the High School, and the musicians in the District Band Concert. He congratulated the football team on going to state competition this Friday. He noted that our special education department is participating in an “e-buddies” program, establishing contact by e-mail for autistic students. This is a way to enhance the social connections and skills of these students.
Principals from Greenvale and Bridgewater schools each presented their annual improvement plans.
The Board approved the election results, and proclaimed observance of American Education Week.
Open enrollment numbers were presented – For this school year, 144 students from our district transferred to other schools, and 294 transferred into the district from elsewhere.
The next meeting will be November 24, at 7:30, one half hour later than usual, so that Board members can participate in the reception honoring National Merit Scholars.
