Immunization Practices Improvement (IPI)
Rice County Public Health visits every entity in Rice County that provides immunizations at least once in a two-year period. A public health nurse evaluates, monitors and advises on improvement measures and report their finding to the Minnesota Department of Health. The county is paid up to $300 per visit.
Library Services Contract
The three libraries, Northfield, Lonsdale and Faribault were all requested to reduce their allotments by two percent. The Northfield and Faribault libraries reduced their requests to three percent so that the new Lonsdale one could have a larger piece of the pot.
Faribo Sno-Go Club
Rice County will serve as the pass-through agent between the Minnesota Trail Assistance Program Grant and the Faribo Snow-Go Club, which will provide maintenance for a recreational snow mobile trail for four months between November 15 and April 1. The club will receive $20,924.40 for their efforts.
Promotional Video Project
The commissioners agreed to participate in a video marketing program. The company producing a series of one-minute videos would not charge the county but would sell advertising that would be embedded in the videos. The videos would be posted on the county's website.
