- Paul Bell, Director of Buildings & Grounds, reported on recent projects. Notable is the replacement of the gym floor at the High School. The original one was 47 years old. The high School kitchen storeroom was brought up to code, and the shower rooms were also improved.
- Dr. Richardson identified the many "celebrations" and "challenges" that characterize the District is facing. The successful levy referendum, the scheduling changes for elementary teaches that provide common planning time, sponsorship of two charter schools, higher graduation rates at the ALC are among the dozens of items listed as "celebrations." He identified as major challenges ahead the new requirements for evaluation of teachers and principals, implementation of the Response to Intervention strategies, improving the prospect of reliable, adequate funding, and successful implementing the ambitious technology program.
- The Board unanimously approved the name change from ARTech to Acadia charter School.
