Issues

LWVNCF is focusing on four aspects of voter education this fall: 1) education about candidates (Ann Ness and Marcia Walters, Voter Ed Committee); 2) education about Universal Health Care (Karen Gervais, Health Care Committee; 3) education about Judicial Selection (Eve Webster); and 4) education about the Clean Water, Land and Legacy constitutional amendment which will be on the November ballot (Jan Mitchell and Allene Fink, Conservation Education Committee). On three of these –Universal Health Care, Judicial Selection and the Clean Water Amendment — our league is taking action. We are educating voters — and encouraging their support of the positions taken by LWVUS on health care and LWVMN on judicial selection and the Clean Water Amendment.
