League of Women Voters of Northfield and Cannon Falls members hosted an appreciation party for all of their elected officials on the night before Valentine’s Day.
The party goers were happy to have a chance to thank the men and women who represent them. And the elected officials were grateful for the words and gestures of appreciation they received.
State Senator Kevin Dahle said, “It has been great to be able to talk with members of the League of Women Voters. I was also happy that the party gave me a chance to talk with other elected officials.”
Other elected officials attending the party included the Mayor and several members of the Northfield City Council, members of the Northfield School Board, a member of the Dundas City Council and of the Rice County Board of Commissioners. Steve Engler, a former state legislator, also enjoyed the party.
The meeting room at Village on the Cannon in Northfield was buzzing with enthusiastic conversations between elected officials and League members. In addition to enjoying stimulating conversations, party-goers were treated to delectable food and beverages.
The League of Women Voters of Northfield and Cannon Falls does not advocate any one political party but it certainly knows how to host a wonderful party for ALL of their elected officials.
