July 23, 2024 Rice County Board meeting notes

  1. All commissioners were present for the CALL TO ORDER AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Both the agenda for today and the minutes from July 9 were approved unanimously.

II. OUTSIDE AGENCY

Allan Klug presented a revised negotiated quotation for Courtroom AV Technology Upgrades.

3rd Judicial and Rice County have been collaborating and negotiating a technology refresh for the courtrooms in Rice County over several months. Court and county staff have agreed to divide the refresh costs between Audio and Video expenses. This leads to Rice County covering $112,592.71 and 3rd Judicial covering $183,351.96.

Approved unanimously.

III. ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

Julie Runkel  presented a zoning amendment and several requests for conditional use permits.

A. Resolution #24-031, Adopting an Amendment to the Rice County Zoning Map in

Section 25 of Webster Township

B. Conditional Use Permit/Nelson – Section 28, Wells Township

C. Conditional Use Permit/Rud(Hautman) – Section 29, Webster Township

D. Conditional Use Permit/Saemrow – Section 7, Morristown Township

E. Wavier of Plat/Fisher – Section 27, Webster Township

F. Conditional Use Permit/Skluzacek – Section 29, Wheatland Township

G. Resolution #24-030 Removal of Conservation Easement for Property Identification

H. Conditional Use Permit/Sevcik – Section 27, Warsaw Township

I. Preliminary Plat/Hubers – Section 18, Northfield Township

All were approved unanimously.

IV. HIGHWAY

Dennis Luebbe presented an agreement to replace a township bridge, with no financial impact on the county. Approved unanimously.

He asked for approval of a bituminous patching quote which was the lowest quote. Approved unanimously.

V. ADMINISTRATION:

Sara Folsted presented the consent agenda. Approved unanimously
