Highway Updates: Dennis Luebbe
Two different development projects in Lonsdale, both of which border Rice County roads, so discussion with Lonsdale re: long term improvements of said roads is pending.
Reconstruction county road 78, 2028, northeasterly from Hester Street to Armstrong Rd. Cities of Dundas (27.6%) and Northfield (42.2%), along with Bridgewater Township (30.2%) all have incorporated portions of route, so talking with these entities. Consideration of the Milltown trail, county trails, 7+ park and other road accesses along the route. City of Northfield is interested in extending project to trunk highway 19. DNR prefers agreement with Rice County (solely) rather than each city and township, for trails.
Highway 27 will be resurfaced this year – Commissioner Purfeerst has heard from local property owners who hope it can be completed prior to fall harvest.
