Caucus & Primary Training 101

Did you know Minnesota’s precinct caucuses will be held February 25, 2020, one week before the presidential nomination primary on March 3, 2020? Would you like to learn more about how the caucus works? Do you want to participate in the political system, but have no idea what the process is like? Are you curious to learn more about how the new presidential primary process will work? On Tuesday, January 28  from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm the League of Women Voters of Northfield and Cannon Falls, Carleton College Political Science Department, and Center for Community and Civic Engagement will be co-hosting a panel of experts on Minnesota caucuses and elections in room 236 of the Weitz Center. The event will cover why people should caucus, how to participate in any caucus of your choice, and how the new presidential nomination primary works. The goal of this event will be to inform students and community members of varying levels of political knowledge about the precinct caucuses and presidential nominating primary and encourage political participation. This event is open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided!
