We had planned to write the Governor about a state ERA. The constitutions of twenty-four states provide either inclusive or partial guarantees of equal rights on the basis of sex. Virginia ratified the federal ERA on January 15th,. That means that the required 38 states have voted to ratify the ERA. Encourage your federal representatives and senators to support removal of the ratification deadline.
