Josie johnson

Judy Covey shares the following link from the STAR TRIBUNE about JOSIE JOHNSON. Old time League members will remember her fondly as the State League Member who was instrumental in launching our Northfield League back in 1965.  Many a cold winter night she drove  down from the Cities to meet with us in a big, unwelcoming meeting room that was in the back of the building on the Northside of the JUST FOODS PARKING LOT.  We had to serve a one year probation before we could be a full-fledged League.  She set us on the right path and before long we were considered a model League. And yes…we DID pass probation. The standards she set for us have carried us through these many years and we old timers are so proud of all of you who are so successfully carrying the torch Josie lighted for us.
