Did you know…?
- Any voter can request an absentee ballot without an excuse. You can apply for an absentee ballot online at: https://mnvotes.sos.state.mn.us/ABRegistration/ABRegistrationStep1.aspx
- You will need either your MN Driver’s License number or your SSN for the request, and you must use the same number to identify yourself on the ballot envelope.
- Absentee ballots will be mailed to voters starting September 18.
- Check the instructions about sealing and signing the envelopes.
-
If you are already registered to vote, you do not need a witness.
- Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked before or on November 3 (Election Day). They must be received by November 10. Ballots received after that will not be counted. To be sure of meeting the deadline, send your mail-in ballot as soon as possible. It may travel faster if you put a first-class stamp on the pre-paid return envelope.
- Absentee ballots can be returned in person BEFORE Election Day.
